Hey there! My name is Jenna, welcome to my e-portfolio. Last spring, I graduated from Iowa State University where I obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture Life Sciences Education - Communication Option.

I grew up not far from a small town called Emmetsburg in northwest Iowa. There I learned the means of hard work and dedication by being fortunate enough to evolve from my family's fourth generation dairy farm. I like to call myself an "ag kid" at heart. My dad was my babysitter most days so that meant I learned to do chores at a very young age. No buts about it, and I am grateful for that. Some of my favorite childhood memories consist of haying and watering the heifers, bottle feeding the calves, breaking to lead show heifers, and driving the four-wheeler until the tires were bald and the tank was empty.

Growing up on the farm led me to be involved in 4-H and FFA as well as showing dairy cattle through the Iowa Junior Holstein Association. Being a part of many different organizations has enabled me to be very active in leadership and service roles that extended into my college career as well. I stayed very busy throughout my four years in Ames with club organization and leadership positions. Throughout my college career, I had the pleasure of interning with Pro Cooperative, Trans Ova Genetics, and Riverview, LLP. Through each of these opportunities, I have been able to expand my communication, photography, videography, and professional skills. I am so grateful for all the opportunities ISU has given me and it will always hold a special place in my heart!
